On February 21, raids were conducted across the republic to identify drivers operating vehicles while intoxicated. This was reported by the Karelia State Traffic Safety Inspectorate.

During the inspection, the State Traffic Safety Inspectorate officers identified eight violators, two of whom drove drunk again within a year.

Let us recall that for driving a car while intoxicated, drivers are deprived of their license for up to two years and fined 45 thousand rubles. If the violation is committed again, this entails criminal liability, including imprisonment for up to two years, as well as a ban on holding certain positions or engaging in certain activities for up to three years.
