In Bessonovsky district, a son stole a TV from his mother and handed it over to a second-hand store


The Investigative Department of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Bessonovsky District is investigating a criminal case about the theft of a TV set from a 54-year-old local resident. The suspect is her 22-year-old son, previously convicted of a similar crime, the press service of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Penza Region reported.
According to the young man, his grandfather was in the house at the time of the theft. In order not to arouse suspicion, he put the TV out the window, then took it from the street and took it by taxi to a second-hand shop in Penza, where he received 10,000 rubles for the item. He spent the money on personal needs.
The suspect was remanded in custody. He faces up to five years in prison.
