Among the topics discussed during the meeting were the region's international activities. Denis Nosachev, Minister of Investment Policy of the Novgorod Region, spoke in detail about the prospects and planned partnerships.
"As part of the implementation of the priority regional project "Development of International Cooperation", nine priority countries have been identified for the most active interaction. Among these states are Belarus, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, China, Iran. Over the past few years, our region has concluded a number of cooperation agreements. Including with these republics," the head of the Ministry of Investments said.
Over the past three years, 32 business missions have taken place, Novgorod entrepreneurs have taken part in more than 50 international exhibitions in Russia and abroad, held over 150 meetings and B2B negotiations. Business representatives have signed export contracts worth over $2,000,000,000.

The number of exporters - small and medium-sized businesses - has increased by 32% over the past 5 years. The geography of exports is also expanding. Thus, Georgia, Israel, Bangladesh, Bahrain and Saudi Arabia are among the region's new trading partners.
This year, the authorities and businesses of the Novgorod region plan to organize business missions to Iran, Vietnam, Egypt, Turkey, Algeria, Belarus and China. The destinations were chosen taking into account the requests of the Novgorod business representatives themselves.
It should be noted that support for export-oriented companies is provided in pursuance of the national projects “International Cooperation and Export” and “Efficient and Competitive Economy”.
