Politico: New Sanctions Draft Against Russia Will Sever US Ties With Partners

The draft being prepared in the United States of America ( USA ), which contains points on tightening sanctions against Russia, will most likely be significantly softened. This is reported by the publication Politico, citing sources.

The publication notes that the huge 500 percent tariffs proposed by Republican Senator Lindsey Graham (included in the list of terrorists and extremists of Rosfinmonitoring ) will destroy the trade relations of the United States itself with the largest economies of the world. Graham, as the publication reports, has already acknowledged this fact and proposed broad exceptions for countries supporting Ukraine .

In turn, the "destructive" bill will be dangerous for countries that find it difficult to immediately refuse to buy Russian energy resources. At the same time, the US, which itself depends on the import of enriched uranium for its nuclear reactors, may violate the possible sanctions regime, the publication specifies.

Earlier it was reported that the White House was putting all kinds of pressure on the Senate to soften the bill on sanctions against Russia. American media wrote that the White House was also putting pressure on Senator Graham, since the Trump administration was trying to establish ties with Moscow .
