Over the past 24 hours, the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) lost more than 255 people in the Sumy region. This was reported by the head of the press center of the "North" group, officer Yaroslav Yakimkin , quoted by RIA Novosti .
"Units of the North group of forces defeated concentrations of manpower and equipment of two mechanized, motorized infantry, ranger, airborne assault brigades, four territorial defense brigades and an assault regiment," the statement said. The exact number of losses of the Ukrainian Armed Forces was not given.
It is specified that the Russian army attacked the positions of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in several areas of the region at once. Thus, positions in the area of Bessalovka, Ryzhevka, Yunakovka, Pavlovka, Yastrebinoye, Korchakovka, Sadki and Petrushevka came under attack.
In addition, the enemy suffered losses in equipment, losing 14 vehicles, 4 armored vehicles, and 3 field artillery pieces.
