A ban on the supply of diesel fuel abroad for non-manufacturers will be introduced for a similar period.
The Russian government will extend the current ban on gasoline exports until the end of the year, Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak announced, according to Interfax. He added that a ban on diesel exports for non-manufacturers will be in effect for the same period.
According to Novak, this will allow the market to additionally supply petroleum products that are currently exported. The Deputy Prime Minister noted that Russia currently has a slight shortage of petroleum products, which, according to established practice, is being covered by accumulated stocks.
