Healthcare: Trust in Doctors and Medical Errors

FOMnibus is a representative survey of the population aged 18 and over. The survey involved 1,500 respondents – residents of 97 urban and rural settlements in 51 constituent entities of the Russian Federation. Face-to-face interviews were conducted at the respondents’ place of residence. The statistical error does not exceed 3.6%.

52% of Russians follow sports news and events. Among men, this figure is higher — 61%, 46% of respondents are not interested in sports. 73% of respondents believe that the state should primarily spend funds on the development of mass sports, 16% — on the training of professional athletes

55% of Russians consider flu to be a dangerous and serious disease, while 34% believe that this is not the case. According to 44% of survey participants, flu shots can protect against this disease, while 35% hold the opposite opinion

63% of Russians monitor their health, more often among the youngest (71%). However, a third of respondents do not pay special attention to their health. 68% of survey participants undergo a medical examination at least once every few years, while 31% of respondents do not do this

75% of Russians do not plan to follow the Olympic Games in Paris. The respondents named the main reason for this as the fact that Russian athletes were not allowed to participate in the Olympics, and only some of them were allowed to compete under a neutral flag. At the same time, 21% still plan to follow the games

40% of survey participants claim that they have not personally contracted coronavirus, 39% say they have, of which 31% had a mild form, 8% had a severe form. 51% of Russians believe that where they live today the probability of contracting coronavirus is low, 15% believe that such a probability is high
