This year the half marathon "Zdorovo, Kostroma!" will set a record

On June 12, Kostroma will host the annual half marathon "Hey, Kostroma!", timed to coincide with Russia Day. This event is part of the federal series "Pharmeko - Running along the Golden Ring" and attracts athletes from all over the country.

This year, an unprecedented number of participants has been registered – 3,000 runners from 58 subjects of the Russian Federation. The largest representation is expected from the Kostroma, Moscow, Yaroslavl and Ivanovo regions. In addition, athletes will come from remote regions such as the Kemerovo and Novosibirsk regions, Krasnodar Krai, Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug, the Komi and Karelia republics.

The races will start at Susaninskaya Square. Participants will have to cover distances of 21, 10, 5 and 3 kilometers. The program of the event also includes the traditional costumed race of Snow Maidens and children's races of 300 and 600 meters for the youngest athletes. After the award ceremony, many guests of the city will go on excursions to get acquainted with interesting places in Kostroma.

The uniqueness of the Kostroma half marathon lies in the harmonious combination of sports and tourism. Participants come with their families and groups of friends to actively and usefully spend the weekend, test themselves at different distances and after the award ceremony go to get acquainted with the sights of Kostroma.

The half marathon "Zdorovo, Kostroma!" is the fourth of ten stages of the series "Pharmeko - Running along the Golden Ring".
