Vodnik celebrated the All-Russian Physical Culture Day with a football match

The central event of the celebration of the All-Russian Physical Culture Day in Arkhangelsk was a friendly football match between the Vodnik team and the Rekord football club.
This year it was dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the "yellow-greens" and the memory of the "Vodnik" fan, football promoter in the Arkhangelsk region Sergey Kuznetsov. He did not just worry about the hockey club. For five seasons, the players of the main team of Pomorye went out on the ice in hockey uniforms, the author of the design of which was Sergey Leonidovich. This was reported by the press service of the HC "Vodnik".
The relationship between Vodnik and Rekord (Roma) goes back almost 30 years. At various times, hockey players Aleksandr Tyukavin, Andrey Zolotarev, Igor Konyakhin, Oleg Batov and Artem Shekhovtsov played for the football team.
The first face-to-face match between Vodnik and Rekord took place in 1997 at the Dynamo stadium. In front of a packed stadium, the yellow-greens won 4:3. The last time the opponents met was 11 years ago. Then, the hockey players also won by a minimal score of 1:0.
On this day, the main team of the "yellow-greens" entered the football field of the Trud stadium, which in less than a month will represent our region at the preliminary stage of the Russian Cup. Among their opponents were the master of sports of international class in mini-football Konstantin Chashchin and the former player of "Vodnik" Artem Shekhovtsov.
Like all previous matches, the new round of confrontation between hockey players and football players turned out to be very stubborn. At every section of the field, the opponents imposed a fight on each other. Therefore, the score was not opened for a long time. Only at the end of the first half, the Rekord midfielder Alexander Desyatovsky brought his team ahead - 0:1.
During the break, a competition for the best penalty taker was held among the fans. All participants and the winner received special prizes from the organizers.
In the second half of the match, the "yellow-greens" managed to restore the balance. Arseniy Kozlov sent the ball into the top corner with a powerful strike from a free kick - 1:1. A few minutes before the end, thanks to the efforts of the current head coach of MFC "Vodnik" Konstantin Chashchin, the footballers managed to snatch a victory - 1:2.
