Yaroslavl Lokomotiv Extends Denis Alekseev's Contract

Forward Denis Alekseyev will remain in Lokomotiv for another 2 years. The contract has been signed. There is no official announcement of the signing yet. But the forward's wife involuntarily announced the extension of the contract in her blog.

Yaroslavl fans are happy that Alekseyev is staying. Alekseyev is one of the team's "old-timers". He played more than 500 matches for the club.

"Our club's alumnus made his debut in the main team during the 2017/2018 season. In 499 games, he has 233 (70+163) points," Lokomotiv's press service wrote on March 27.

Alekseyev also showed himself to be excellent in the playoffs. Hockey fans remember the spectacular goal scored by the forward against Traktor in the match on May 19. Let us recall that Lokomotiv was short-handed.

There is no major news yet about the coaching staff for the new season.
