Armed masked jeweler robbery in Istanbul!
The incident in Istanbul took place at around 10:50 a.m. on Friday, February 21, at a jeweler's shop in the Tahtakale Neighborhood of Avcılar. According to the news by Habertürk reporter Mustafa Şekeroğlu, 39-year-old HB, who opened his shop in the morning, was subjected to a shocking raid.

In response to the robbers' threats with the gun, the shop owner raised his hands in the air and gave the suspects the jewelry in the display case. All of these moments were recorded second by second by the shop's security camera.
After the jeweler reported the incident to the police, teams from the Public Security Branch Directorate Extortion Bureau arrived at the scene. Complainant HB told the police what had happened to him and said that the suspects had escaped on foot. The police, who watched the footage, followed a trail. They came across a burnt material in the direction the suspects had escaped. In the examination, it was determined that the suspects had burned the mask they were wearing.
It was determined that the suspects fled on foot after the incident and then escaped in a vehicle with a fake license plate. Robbery detectives and Avcılar District Police Department officers determined the addresses the suspects fled to. Two robbers and another person who was determined to have aided and abetted them were caught in operations conducted at two different addresses.
During the searches conducted at the house, 65 items believed to have been obtained by the suspects in the robbery were seized. During the searches, 1 unlicensed SIG Sauer brand pistol, 1 empty magazine attached to this pistol, 1 unlicensed 7.65 mm pistol with no markings on it, 6 cartridges in the magazine attached to this pistol, 1 9.19 mm Springfield Armory brand pistol, 9 cartridges in the magazine attached to this pistol, 3 precision scales and many narcotics were found.
Following the investigation, suspect MB was sent to the courthouse and released on probation. The suspects I.Y. and EA, who were determined to have committed the robbery, were arrested.
