Decision to bring Fatih Terim into custody in 'fund scam' case

The trial of former Denizbank Levent Branch Manager Seçil Erzan , who allegedly defrauded more than 30 people, including well-known football players Arda Turan, Fernando Muslera, Emre Belözoğlu and Selçuk İnan, out of millions of lira by claiming that it was a reliable fund with high profits and that names such as Fatih Terim were included in this fund, is ongoing. An instruction hearing was held in Bodrum 2nd High Criminal Court within the scope of the case in recent days. The lawyer of the defendant Seçil Erzan, who is in custody, and the lawyers of the defendant Hakan Ateş, who is not in custody, were present at the instruction hearing.

TERIM DID NOT ATTEND THE HEARING, PROVIDING AN EXCUSE

It was stated that the lawyer of the complainant Fatih Terim submitted a petition of excuse regarding Terim and that a report was also submitted regarding Terim being abroad. During the hearing, Erzan's lawyer requested that the main court investigate the domestic entry and exit records regarding Fatih Terim's excuse.

DECISION TO FORCE TERIM

The Bodrum 2nd High Criminal Court, which announced its interim decision, ruled that a warrant of forced arrest be issued against Fatih Terim and adjourned the hearing until April 15.
