Denial of infant mortality report
A statement was made on the Ministry's social media account called "Ministry of Health Healthy Solution" regarding the claims that "a report was submitted by the Ministry of Health within the scope of the newborn gang trial stating that infant deaths were unpreventable."
"First of all, it should be noted that the Ministry of Health has never had any report stating that newborn infant deaths are unpreventable," the statement reads, adding that when the documents used in disinformation activities are examined, it will be easily understood that this is not a report specific to newborn gang activity, but is an investigation conducted by the Infant Mortality Investigation Board, which has been in effect since 2009.
The statement, which stated that the infant deaths that are the subject of the trial regarding the newborn gang were also evaluated by this investigation committee, included the following statement: "However, due to the direct concealment or misleading interventions made by the gang members, the negligence, fault or intent in the infant deaths could not be detected by this committee within the scope of routine control. For this very reason, it has been revealed once again how correct a step it was for the Istanbul Provincial Health Directorate to prefer to start a judicial investigation against the 'gang of those who have no share of humanity'."
The statement emphasized that the inhumane activities of the newborn gang, which were not possible to detect through routine document and form checks, were detected through technical and physical surveillance and extraordinary inspections, seizures and digital material examinations within the framework of special investigation methods, and the following was noted:
"Within this framework, the activities of this gang have been exposed with the extraordinary efforts and endeavors of the Istanbul Provincial Health Directorate and the Ministry of Health Inspection Board inspectors, together with the law enforcement forces, under the coordination of the relevant chief prosecutor's office. The content of the Ministry of Health Inspection Board report, which forms the basis of the trial, is exactly this. Apart from this, there is no other new report prepared by the Ministry of Health. In this case, it is understood that misleading and untrue posts and news primarily serve this inhumane gang and are also aimed at manipulating the judicial trial process."
