He welcomed the man who sent his wife a love message at the bus station! He shot her with a shotgun and was released

The incident took place at around 04:30 on October 27, 2024, at the Bursa Intercity Bus Terminal. According to the allegations, İsmail S. saw that Hüseyin B., who lives in İzmir, sent love messages to the social media account of his wife NS, with whom he runs a stationery store. İsmail S., who decided to divorce his wife, checked his wife's social media account once more on the day of the incident and read that Hüseyin B., who said he was coming to Bursa, sent a photo of a gun, stated that he had 13 bullets in his gun and wrote that he would kill himself and his wife with this gun and then commit suicide.

Taking his pump-action shotgun with him, İsmail S. went to the terminal and started waiting for Hüseyin B., whose arrival time he learned from İzmir. İsmail S. first opened fire on Hüseyin B., whom he recognized from his photograph, at the entrance of the terminal with a pump-action shotgun, and then, while he was wounded on the ground, he hit him several times with the butt of the gun.

On the other hand, the incident was reflected on a security camera. In the footage, İsmail S., who was walking behind Hüseyin B., was seen pulling out a pump-action shotgun from his bag, calling out to Hüseyin B., but when he turned to him and tried to stop him, he opened fire. The moments when İsmail S. first kicked Hüseyin B., who fell to the ground after being injured, and then hit him with the butt of the gun, picked up the shotgun he had dropped from his hand, fired it once more, and hit him with both the butt and the kick were reflected in the footage. It was seen that İsmail S. was waiting over Hüseyin B. while he was lying on the ground injured, and that the private security on duty at the terminal had also arrived at the scene but did not intervene.

Upon notification, police and medical teams were dispatched to the scene. The injured Hüseyin B. was taken to Bursa City Hospital by ambulance after the intervention of medical personnel. İsmail S., who was waiting next to him, was detained by the police.

'I FIRED WHEN HE RAN TOWARDS ME'
A lawsuit was filed against the arrested İsmail S. at the Bursa 53rd Criminal Court of First Instance for the crime of "intentionally wounding with a weapon that causes bone fractures endangering a person's life", requesting a prison sentence of up to 9 years.
In the first hearing of the case, Hüseyin B.'s statement, which he gave in the hospital while he was injured, was read: "İsmail's wife called me to Bursa. I came too. Then suddenly someone started shooting at me with a gun. I don't remember the rest."

In his defense, İsmail S. said, “My wife and I were in our own stationery store. Suddenly, messages started coming to my wife’s computer from a person named Hüseyin B. This person was writing to my wife, ‘My love, my life.’ I filed for divorce after this incident. Hüseyin B. continued to send messages at night. When I took my wife’s phone and looked at the messages, he said he was coming to Bursa, that he had 13 bullets in his gun, that he would shoot one bullet at my wife, the other at me and the third at himself. On the night of the incident, I went to the terminal and started waiting for Hüseyin B. I called out to him when I saw him. When he suddenly turned around and started running towards me, I shot him.”

HE CALLED ME TO SHOW HIS DIVORCE DOCUMENTS
NS, who testified as a witness in court, said that she had called Hüseyin B. to Bursa and said, “We were sitting at our workplace. Hüseyin B. started sending me messages. My wife and I decided to separate. I called Hüseyin B. to Bursa to show him my divorce papers and to talk about these. My wife also went to the terminal. I did not know that these things would happen.”
'HE HAD A CARTRIDGE IN HIS RIFLE, HE COULD CONTINUE HIS ACTION IF HE WANTED'
İsmal S.'s lawyer Hakan Gündoğdu stated in his defense that his client's action was carried out under severe provocation, and said, "If he had wanted to, he could have continued his action. However, even though there was no one around to prevent him, even with two cartridges in his rifle, he ended his action of his own free will. Also, when the targeted areas are considered, the fact that he could have easily targeted vital areas from a short distance, but did not target these areas, shows that his action was intended to injure."
The court judge adjourned the hearing and decided to release İsmail S., considering the possibility of unjust provocation in his favor and the time he had spent in detention.
