Yerlikaya said in the post, "My condolences to our nation. Our Police Officer Onur Şirin was martyred in a traffic accident that occurred while police teams affiliated with the Konya Karatay District Police Department were performing their patrol duty. Police Officers Hüseyin Sağlam and Oğuz Demirkır, who were in the same team, were seriously injured. I was deeply saddened by the martyrdom of our hero. May Allah have mercy on our martyr; I offer my condolences to his grieving family, our heroic Police Department and our nation. I also wish a speedy recovery to our injured heroes."
