New regulation for egg exports: Permit requirement introduced

The Ministry of Trade has established a new control mechanism for chicken egg exports from Turkey. According to the communiqué published in the Official Gazette, egg exports are now subject to registration . The regulation takes effect today.
With the new regulation, companies wishing to send eggs abroad will no longer be able to export directly. They will first need to obtain an export permit from the Ministry of Trade . This permitting process aims to maintain the supply-demand balance in the sector and maintain price stability in the domestic market.
Authorities state that such measures are being taken to ensure food supply security and prevent speculative movements in the domestic market.
The practice was being closely monitored, especially due to recent increases in egg prices and producer costs .
