Paris CDG's 2035/2050 Vision: Greener, More Accessible, More Powerful

Paris-Charles de Gaulle (CDG), one of Europe's busiest airports, has announced an ambitious future development vision. As the home base of the Air France-KLM and SkyTeam alliance, CDG is also a critical hub for global air transport.

The 2035/2050 vision announced by Groupe ADP is based on three main axes: adapting to the moderate increase in passenger traffic, developing a low-carbon airport model and ensuring sustainable employment.

With passenger growth expected to remain at 1 to 1.5 percent annually in the post-COVID era, Groupe ADP states that infrastructure will be planned to adapt to this new reality. More accessible terminals and robust connectivity will be priorities for meeting increased demand.

Within the scope of environmental targets, the country is committed to carbon neutrality by 2050 and carbon neutrality in land operations by 2035. In this context, train-airplane integration and the acceleration of sustainable transportation connections are highlighted.

CDG is also noted as a strategic employment hub for the French economy. Approximately 90,000 people work at the airport daily across more than 700 companies. This vast ecosystem plays a role in a wide range of areas, from passenger travel experiences to cargo transportation.

With its new vision, Groupe ADP aims to transform Paris-Charles de Gaulle into the low-carbon, high-efficiency and employment-focused airport of the future.
