The incident occurred at noon on Taşocağı Dikyol Street in Yıldıztabya Neighborhood. Some of the buildings on the street were evacuated for reconstruction as part of urban transformation. The residents of the remaining buildings continued to live in their homes. Construction work began in the neighborhood a while ago. Today, due to ongoing work, there was a collapse on the street and cracks formed in the walls of some buildings. After the incident was reported, municipal teams that arrived in the area made an inspection and decided to evacuate 4 buildings. The residents of the buildings were placed in hotels.
Zeliha Şen, one of the victims in the region, said, "This is an incident caused by construction and we are still the victims of it. Eyüp was also included in this, as the Esentepe Neighborhood. While our lawsuits were still ongoing, we are currently experiencing the incident that the governor's office discussed in the evening, approved and approved today. They vacated these houses in this snow and winter with the signature of a governor's office. They said they would use force if we did not evacuate. As you can see, we are now left on the streets. We want a house instead of our house. We do not want to be beggars when we are the rightful owners. There was another landslide here two weeks ago. They closed the cracks here. In other words, they patched them up."
