Russia: We are interested in economic cooperation projects with the US in various fields

Peskov answered journalists' questions on current issues in the capital Moscow.

Asked whether another telephone conversation was planned between Russian President Vladimir Putin and US President Donald Trump , Peskov said: "Such a meeting can be held when necessary. Dialogue has been initiated, but it is not planned for now. Plans may change to resolve some urgent issues."

Peskov, who stated that there has been no development yet on the subject of a face-to-face meeting between Putin and Trump, said, "There is an understanding that this meeting should take place. This is something the two leaders have agreed on. The agreements reached by both the leaders and the heads of delegations in Riyadh are being implemented step by step. Contacts are planned at the level of experts from the Foreign Ministries."

Regarding the possibility of cooperation with the US, Peskov said, "It is showing interest in economic cooperation projects in various areas."

Peskov said that the issue of sending Chinese peacekeepers to Ukraine was not discussed within the scope of the resolution process of the Ukrainian crisis.
