TBMM Kartalkaya Research Commission took action!

78 people burned to death at the Grand Kartal Hotel in Bolu Kartalkaya. The TBMM Kartalkaya Research Commission took action to investigate the disaster in all its dimensions. AFAD Disaster Response General Manager Sadi Ergin shared the following striking information in his presentation: AFAD reached the area 55 minutes after the notification. AFAD's first team evacuated 15 people using stairs. People died in front of the windows. The fire was fought with 171 vehicles and 533 personnel. There were 238 guests and 100 employees at the hotel. Most of the employees were below the elevation.

Deputy Minister of Culture and Tourism Nadir Alpaslan also said, "Administrative sanctions were imposed on the facility 5 times, including 3 warnings and 2 administrative fines."
