"Anatolian Seljuk Exhibition" opened at the National Library

Ersoy began his speech at the opening of the Anatolian Seljuk Exhibition held at the Presidency's National Library by respectfully and reverently remembering all of his ancestors who ensured the survival of the Anatolian Seljuk State, which played a major role in making Anatolia a Turkish homeland after the Battle of Malazgirt.
Ersoy, who remembered with mercy the martyrs who fought against Byzantium when the time came and who did not let the flag fall by maintaining their political and military power against the Crusades when the time came, said, "The Anatolian Seljuk Exhibition that we opened today in the house of the nation, the National Library, is a symbol of our respect for history, culture and civilization. This exhibition is an indication of our determination to carry to the present the knowledge, faith and inspiration from the civilization to which our ancestors, who stood tall under the most difficult conditions and wrote great heroic epics, received their knowledge and faith."
Ersoy stated that as the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, while on the one hand, they are reviving the works of civilization built both within their own borders and all around the world, on the other hand, they are benefiting from the inspiring power of art in order to make civilization speak in the most accurate way.
Minister Ersoy said that they will continue their work with the same responsibility and understanding as always and will continue to let history speak.
Ersoy, who said that the exhibition examined the Anatolian Seljuk heritage under 8 sections and that very special works were included under the titles of "sovereignty", "power and dominance", "educational life", "Sufism", "commercial life", "tile making", "jewelry" and "architectural art", noted the following:
"A rare Quran from the end of the 12th century, a black walnut lectern decorated with relief writings and motifs, a headgear bearing traces of Shams-i Tabrizi and a mantle attributed to Hz. Mevlana, and the Futuhatul Mekkiyye written by Muhiddin Arabi in his own handwriting are some of the remarkable works. I believe that the Anatolian Seljuks Exhibition will offer our visitors the opportunity to see the political, social, cultural and artistic aspects of this deep-rooted state in a holistic manner."
Thanking the Atatürk Culture, Language and History Supreme Institution, Kayseri and Konya Metropolitan Municipalities and the Presidential Complex team for their contributions to the realization of the exhibition, Ersoy toured the exhibition, which included works brought together from various museums in Turkey, with his companions and received information.
The opening of the exhibition was also attended by the President of the Atatürk Culture, Language and History Supreme Institution Prof. Dr. Derya Örs, the President of the Turkish Historical Society Prof. Dr. Yüksel Özgen, the Mayor of Konya Metropolitan Municipality Uğur İbrahim Altay, the Mayor of Kayseri Metropolitan Municipality Memduh Büyükkılıç, the General Manager of Living Heritage and Cultural Activities Selim Terzi, and the Ankara Provincial Director of Culture and Tourism Erhan Karakaya.
