"Korea-Türkiye Friendship Kitchen" event held in Kahramanmaraş

At the event held at the Historical Arslanbey Mansion in the Kurtuluş Neighborhood, Turkish Red Crescent volunteers prepared Korean dishes such as tteokgalbi sotbab (meatballs on rice), Shigeumchi doenjangguk (Korean soup), and manuel yangpa jangajji (Korean pickles) to strengthen the friendship between the two countries, while Korean Red Cross volunteers prepared Kahramanmaraş's local dish, eliböğründe, and tarhana soup.

🔹 AA Live for instant developmentsAhmet Sağlam, the Provincial Director of the Turkish Red Crescent Kahramanmaraş Community Service Center, told reporters that they aim to promote the local flavors of both Korea and Türkiye and to develop friendship between the two countries.
Sağlam reminded that the Korean government and the Red Cross have provided significant support to Türkiye since the early days of the earthquake, saying, "Of course, this was done in conjunction with the Turkish Red Crescent. Therefore, we launched this project to strengthen this friendship and promote our local flavors between Korea and Türkiye."
Hyun Wang, Head of the Korean Embassy in Ankara, also stated that their aim is to contribute to the development of friendship between Korea and Türkiye.
Wang stated that they came to the city to console and make earthquake victims happy, and noted that he enjoyed trying Turkish cuisine as part of the event.
Red Crescent volunteer Fatma Deveboynu reminded that she has been actively involved in the Red Crescent for approximately 18 years and stated that they have undertaken a wonderful organization.
Korean Red Cross volunteer Donggyu Lim explained that he has been living in Türkiye for 14 years and that he wanted to contribute to the development of the culinary and friendship culture of the two countries during this time.
