Istanbul State Symphony Orchestra goes to Romania

The Istanbul State Symphony Orchestra will perform at the 27th edition of the George Enescu Festival. The festival, which brings together internationally renowned conductors, soloists, and orchestras, will host a Turkish orchestra for the first time in its 67-year history.
The orchestra will perform in Constanta on September 7-8, in Targu Mureș on September 10, and in Craiova on September 12 as part of the festival, which is held every two years and is one of Romania 's most important cultural events. A ROMANIAN VIOLINIST WILL ACCOMPANY THE ORCHESTRA
IDSO, under the direction of conductor Hasan Niyazi Tura, will accompany world-renowned Romanian violinist Vlad Stanculeasa. The program will include performances of Enescu's "Ballad for Violin and Orchestra," Mendelssohn's Violin Concerto, Cemal Reşit Rey's "Sunny Landscapes," and Beethoven's "Symphony No. 1." MORE THAN 4,000 ARTISTS WILL PARTICIPATE IN THE FESTIVAL
The festival, commemorating the 70th anniversary of the death of composer George Enescu, will feature more than 4,000 artists, conductors, and orchestras from around the world. More than 95 concerts and performances will take place across seven major series. The program will include more than 45 of George Enescu's works, including "Oedipe" by Stefano Poda in the Bucharest National Opera's production, along with his symphonies, Romanian rhapsodies, suites for orchestra, and numerous chamber and choral works.
