Striking words from Ebru Yaşar, who received the Inspirational Artist of the Year award, about Palestine
The 2nd Türkiye Women's Summit, organized for the second time this year by the Istanbul Business People Association (İSTİNDER), was held with the theme of "Women Building the Future & Inspiring Women".
Ebru Yaşar, who was a guest at the panel held before the award ceremony, took the stage with Demet Sabancı Çetindoğan, Cem Ciritci, Sena Suerdem Camcı and national para swimmer Defne Kurt.
At the ceremony, artist Ebru Yaşar was awarded the "Inspiring Music Artist of the Year" award.
Ebru Yaşar, who presented the award, emphasized the importance of women's solidarity in her speech. Yaşar said, "I never imagined I would one day become an inspiring woman. But over time, I realized that my struggle to survive, my persistence in pursuing my dreams even as a student, and my years of hard work had touched the lives of others and inspired them without even realizing it."
Yaşar, who remembered Palestinian women at the ceremony, said, “Today, I salute all the women here who have forged their own paths, worked tirelessly, and never given up. And I also remember with my heart the women who resisted to live in Palestine, in another corner of the world. Palestinian mothers are an example to the entire world. Their strength supports Palestine's resistance. Women's love and hope know no bounds.” He concluded his speech by saying, “I wish for a future where we all inspire one another and where solidarity never diminishes.”
