Civil servant salaries will be increased by 5 percent in July as per the collective agreement. The inflation difference in the first half of the year will be added to this. According to the 5-month data of the Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK), the total increase to be made in civil servant salaries has already exceeded 14 percent. The Central Bank's inflation forecast for June is 1.61 percent. If this forecast comes true, civil servant salaries will have increased by 15.83 percent.

This increase in the civil servant salary coefficient will also be directly reflected in social support payments. In addition to items such as family allowances and collective bargaining bonuses, hundreds of thousands of people receiving social assistance will benefit from this increase.

Based on five-month inflation data, the rate of increase in this group is at 15.09 percent. With the impact of June inflation, this rate is expected to be between 16 and 17 percent.
