HAVE THE INCREASED POLICE SALARIES BEEN ANNOUNCED?

The rate of increase in civil servant salaries will become clear with the inflation data to be announced by TÜİK. With the announcement of the inflation figures for June in line with expectations, the inflation difference and the total rate of increase to be paid to the police will be revealed.

The Turkish Statistical Institute will announce this critical data to the public at 10:00 on Thursday, July 3. Thus, the rate of increase in civil servant and retired salaries will be finalized.

HOW WILL COLLECTIVE AGREEMENT AND INFLATION DIFFERENCE AFFECT THE PAY RATE?

Civil servants will receive a 5 percent raise in July as per the collective agreement. However, if inflation in the first half of the year exceeds this rate, the difference will be reflected in civil servants' salaries. If the June inflation announced by TÜİK is 1.61 percent, the 6-month inflation difference will be calculated as 10.33 percent. Thus, the total raise rate will reach 15.85 percent.
