The bill amending the Special Consumption Tax concerning the automotive sector was passed by the Parliament.

With the new regulation, the Special Consumption Tax (SCT) on automobiles will be between 80% and 220%.

The highest increase was for vehicles called pickups, which had a 4 percent SCT rate and the SCT was increased to 50 percent.

In the next period, the law will be published in the Official Gazette and the prices will be expected to change.
