Strong support for advanced technology from Kalyon PV

Kalyon PV, the first production facility in Europe and one of the few in the world to carry out ingot, wafer, solar cell and panel production processes under a single roof, including R&D, announced the signing of a new investment agreement integrated with the TOPCon Plus cell production facility.
This investment, a critical component of TOPCon Plus production, focuses on redesigning the auxiliary facilities infrastructure. Planned to be commissioned in early 2026, the facility infrastructure is designed to support all production processes of the 1,100 MW capacity TOPCon Plus solar cell production technology.
THIS INVESTMENT WILL ALSO CONTRIBUTE TO DOMESTIC SUPPLIER DEVELOPMENT
In this strategic investment process, Kalyon PV aims to add value not only to advanced technology but also to Türkiye's industrial capacity. While a strategic partnership has been established with an international company for the facility infrastructure, a significant portion of the project budget is intended to be allocated to domestic suppliers. This approach directly contributes to the localization of solar energy technologies and the expansion of high-value-added production in Türkiye.
The integration of domestic equipment manufacturers into the project allows for the development of knowledge and technical competencies in this field, while also contributing to the establishment of a sustainable and resilient supply chain. This creates the foundation for encouraging increased similar technology investments in Turkey.
"NEW INFRASTRUCTURE INVESTMENT IS ONE OF THE CRITICAL COMPONENTS OF THE TOPCON PLUS CELL INVESTMENT"
Kalyon PV General Manager Dr. İhsan Kulalı, emphasizing the importance of sustainability in technology development and strengthening our country's production muscles in this area, commented on the investments in question:
"The Auxiliary Facilities – Industrial Facility Infrastructure Investment, which we are carrying out simultaneously with the TOPCon Plus solar cell investment, which allows us to develop more efficient products, is a critical step for our TOPCon Plus solar cell production, which will be the first in the world outside of China.
Our investment in auxiliary facilities is a strong reflection not only of our technological superiority but also of our sustainability vision. Improving and enhancing our production lines and infrastructure in line with future technologies not only enables us to produce more efficient products using solar technologies, but also significantly contributes to achieving our sustainability goals through the efficient and effective use of water, energy, and human resources.
We are also delighted to be collaborating with our domestic suppliers on this investment process, expanding our country's solar technology ecosystem. This approach is part of our efforts to jointly build not only today's clean and domestic energy vision, but also the future.
As Kalyon PV, we not only produce solar panels within the scope of our vision of "A Türkiye rising like the sun in renewable energy," but we also pioneer the development of solar technologies in our country.
A FIRST OUTSIDE CHINA: TOPCON PLUS SOLAR CELL INVESTMENT
Kalyon PV's recently announced investment in the TOPCon Plus solar cell production facility, a world first outside China, is designed to have a production capacity of 1,100 MW. These new-generation, high-efficiency solar cells enable the production of more electricity from the same footprint and significantly contribute to the company's competitiveness in global markets. This new infrastructure investment is positioned as a critical component to enable advanced technology-based production.
