A striking August 30 message from Özgür Özel

Republican People's Party (CHP) Chairman Özgür Özel shared a message on his social media account, X, for August 30th Victory Day. In his post, Özel included a video depicting Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, saying, "August 30th is the brightest symbol of our struggle for independence; it is the name of hope, freedom, and courage."

Özel said, “ We remember with respect and gratitude all our heroes, especially Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, who are a light to our path and a hope for our homeland; we remember them all with respect and gratitude.”

"THE ONLY PRINCIPLE WE MUST NOT FORGET..." The CHP leader concluded his message as follows:

“The only principle we must not forget in order to raise our Republic to the level of contemporary civilizations is: ‘Victory belongs to those who can say, ‘Victory is mine.’ Happy August 30 Victory Day!”

August 30th is the brightest symbol of our struggle for independence; it is the name of hope, freedom, and courage. We are following in the footsteps of all our heroes, especially Ghazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, who have been a light on our path and a hope for our homeland; we remember them all with respect and gratitude.
