WHO IS SINAN CETIN?

Director Sinan Çetin was born in Van on March 1, 1953. Çetin graduated from Hacettepe University, Department of Art History in 1977.

Sinan Çetin, who began his art career in the 1970s by doing amateur work in painting and photography, started his cinema career in 1975 as an assistant director in the film Hanzo, directed by Zeki Ökten.

Of Azeri origin on his mother's side and Georgian origin on his father's side, Çetin later worked with directors Şerif Gören and Atıf Yılmaz. Sinan Çetin made his first feature-length film, Bir Günün Hikayesi, starring Nur Sürer and Fikret Hakan, in 1980, which won the best director award at the 1982 Antalya Film Festival.
