The traces of the conflict at the hotel in Marmaris are as they were on the first day

At a hotel in the Turban district, eight kilometers from the Marmaris town center, the room used as President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan's office and the room where martyr security guard Mehmet Çetin stayed were preserved as they were nine years ago. The rooms were closed on the orders of the hotel's owner, tourism executive Serkan Yazıcı, and were not given to any guests. The rooms are reportedly still bearing traces of bullets and grenades. The room where police officer Mehmet Çetin, a member of President Erdoğan's security detail who was martyred in a clash with FETÖ members, stayed has been individually numbered, with the marks of 40 bullets. President Erdoğan's office also bears over 80 bullet holes fired by putschist soldiers. The windows in both rooms remain broken, and bullet holes are visible on the walls and all the furnishings inside.
