Due to the post he made on his social media account, the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office launched an investigation into Taşkın for the crime of "obscenity."
Social media phenomenon Merve Taşkın, who was detained on February 14 as part of the investigation, was released after a judicial control decision was made in the form of house arrest.
Following the completion of the investigation against Taşkın, a lawsuit was filed against him for the crime of 'obscenity', demanding a prison sentence of up to 3 years.
