AKP member Şamil Tayyar's statement on the 'Can Holding' operation: It's clear the intra-state power struggle is going very hard.

While the investigation launched by the Küçükçekmece Chief Public Prosecutor's Office in Istanbul against Can Holding on charges of "establishing a criminal organization," "smuggling," "fraud," and "laundering assets derived from crime" continues, AKP member Şamil Tayyar made a statement on the subject.
Regarding the investigation into Can Holding, which had 121 companies seized, Tayyar commented, "While even security personnel were brought in during the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality investigation, the fact that this serious case involving 121 companies was limited to five people clearly shows that the power struggle within the state is very harsh."
As part of the investigation launched by the Küçükçekmece Chief Public Prosecutor's Office in Istanbul, 121 companies affiliated with Can Holding, including Habertürk and Show TV, were seized and detention warrants were issued for 10 people, including company executives.
The six people detained in this context were referred to Küçükçekmece Courthouse on September 15.
While the five people referred to the courthouse were arrested, Can Holding Media Group Chairman M. Kenan Tekdağ was placed under house arrest.
"I HOPE WHAT I HEAR IS A LIE"Stating that the investigation was progressing in a strange way, AKP member Şamil Tayyar drew attention to the arrest of 5 people.
Commenting on the social media platform X (Twitter), Tayyar wrote:
"The Can Holding operation is progressing strangely. Two brother bosses are fugitives, the chairman of the board has been released, and there are five detainees inside.
Yet, 121 companies within the holding company were seized, and Habertürk, Bloomberg, and Show TV were placed under trusteeship. The allegations are dire.
Smuggling, fraud, dirty money, criminal organization, etc. While even security personnel were brought into custody during the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality investigation, the fact that this massive case involving 121 companies was limited to just five people clearly demonstrates that the intra-state power struggle is very fierce.
I'd like to think that what I've heard is a lie. I hope it is. Otherwise, another opportunity for purification would be missed; it would be a shame.
