An earthquake centered in Kahramanmaraş-Elbistan occurred

An earthquake struck the Elbistan district of Kahramanmaraş. According to information on the Disaster and Emergency Management Presidency (AFAD) website, a 4.0 magnitude tremor was recorded at 5:59 a.m. with the epicenter in Elbistan. The earthquake was determined to have occurred at a depth of 19.74 kilometers.

Locals experienced brief panic following the earthquake, which was felt in the morning. AFAD and relevant institutions closely monitored developments following the earthquake. Initial reports indicated that no adverse events were reported.
