President Gülpınar's full support for the process of a terror-free Türkiye

Şanlıurfa Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Mehmet Kasım Gülpınar met with young people at the Şanlıurfa Science Center. The meeting, broadcast live on Şanlıurfa's local television, featured Mayor Gülpınar providing information about municipal activities and answering questions from the young people.

President Gülpınar, who devoted a significant portion of her speech to resolving the terrorism issue, evaluated the PKK's disarmament process. Describing the process as "a very important step for the country," Gülpınar said, "This is an important day for the country. We consider it a very important step in resolving a long-standing problem that has unfortunately created very serious grievances. This should be seen as a state policy, and we see it that way. This has been achieved through the joint efforts and contributions of both our President and Nationalist Movement Party Chairman Devlet Bahçeli. As the people of the region, we want to express our gratitude to them. Because, as residents of the region that has suffered the most in this regard, we believe these developments have given us a more hopeful perspective on the future. Hopefully, this process will conclude successfully; it will be concluded as desired, in line with the goals the state wants to achieve, within the framework of the implemented policies and strategies, and everyone will be satisfied. Because this is truly what is needed now."

In an environment where terrorism is not mentioned, where there is no terrorism, very different developments can occur; these developments will be to the benefit of all of us. That is why we have hope. Peace does no harm to anyone; it will be of great benefit. I am talking here about social inner peace. In the past, this has had very negative repercussions on Türkiye and our region. The fact that an event that has marked the last 40 years of Türkiye is now coming to a conclusion and that we carry this hope is a truly great development. The issue must be evaluated as a matter above parties, above politics, and as a state policy. Everyone who loves their state, their homeland, and their nation should embrace this process."
