Greece Grants Golden Visa to 2,449 Turks: 152 Percent Increase

Interest from Turkish investors in Greece's "Golden Visa" program is rapidly growing. According to the Kathimerini newspaper, 2,449 Turkish investors have been granted residence permits as of July 2025. This figure represents a 152% increase compared to the same period last year.
The increase was driven by updates to the program that accelerated the decision-making process for Turkish investors, the threshold limit for real estate investments in Athens, Thessaloniki and the islands being increased to 800,000 euros, and economic uncertainties in Türkiye.
The Golden Visa program is currently processing 11,887 applications. Since the program's inception, 23,221 investors have benefited from Greece, with 17,254 receiving their permits for the first time and 5,967 renewing their permits after the five-year period.
It was reported that approximately 35,000 investors have invested at least 8.5 billion euros in real estate to date under Greece's Golden Visa program.
