Preparations for Friday off! Four-day workdays will be implemented next year

The Medium-Term Program (MTP), covering the 2026-2028 period, has been announced. The program signals significant changes in working life.
Regarding the changes regarding working life included in the OVP, the following statement was made: “A pilot application will be made to adjust working days in order to increase work-life harmony and employee productivity.”
This statement was interpreted as suggesting that a four-day workweek could be on the agenda. The study is planned to be completed by 2026 and initially tested in select institutions and organizations. It will be tested in the public sector and expanded to the private sector. If the pilot program is successful, it is intended to be expanded to both the public and private sectors. The program aims to help employees maintain a work-life balance, increase productivity, and boost motivation.
