Sad news from teacher Meryem

The accident occurred on June 30 in the Islahiye district of Gaziantep. A truck with license plate 47 ADG 144, driven by 49-year-old Ramazan M. and traveling toward Nurdağı, collided at an intersection with a car with license plate 06 BKT 181, driven by 26-year-old Hamza Kaptan. The driver, Kaptan, who was preparing for his wedding, and his fiancée, teacher Meryem Ceren Keskin, were injured in the accident. The engaged couple were taken to Islahiye State Hospital and transferred to Gaziantep City Hospital after receiving first aid.

Meryem Ceren Keskin, who was undergoing treatment in intensive care this morning, could not be saved despite doctors' efforts. Following the autopsy, Keskin's body was collected by her relatives and brought to İslahiye. Following funeral prayers held at the Sıdıka Tayyar Hatun Mosque in the Dervişpaşa neighborhood, Keskin was laid to rest in İslahiye Asri Cemetery. Keskin's fiancé, Hamza Kaptan, continues his treatment at the hospital.

Esen Keskin, shedding tears at her daughter's grave, said, "I buried my daughter when she was 25. 15 days later, on August 23, my daughter, a teacher, was getting married."
