The Minister announced! It will be operational across Türkiye on April 1st.
Transport and Infrastructure Minister Abdulkadir Uraloğlu made a statement on his social media account. Announcing the date 5G will go live, Uraloğlu said:
"WE ARE STEPPING INTO A NEW ERA"*5G will be the new definition of speed and quality in communication! With 5G technology, which is the key to transformation in many areas, from machine-to-machine communication to artificial intelligence, we are stepping into a new era in mobile communications.
*5G will offer entirely new possibilities in many areas, including industry, healthcare, transportation, and education. From smart cities to autonomous vehicles, from manufacturing to disaster management, many systems will become more efficient and secure with the robust connectivity infrastructure provided by 5G.
*Network slicing technology will enable virtual networks to be built on the same infrastructure to meet different user needs. Ultra-low latency will revolutionize real-time applications.
*Instant decision-making by autonomous vehicles, remote surgeries and virtual reality applications can now be performed much more safely and uninterruptedly.
*Following the 5G tender that we will hold on October 16, 2025, 5G service will be activated in our country as of April 1, 2026.
With this process that prioritizes domestic production, encourages competition, and aims for technological leaps, we will build Türkiye's digital future with its own technology.
