Galatasaray's racist response to Mourinho's statements: Criminal complaint filed

Galatasaray reacted strongly to Fenerbahçe Coach Jose Mourinho 's statements after the Fenerbahçe derby ended in a 0-0 draw.

Mourinho stated in his press conference after the match that the Galatasaray bench tried to show a card to their young defender Yusuf Akçiçek in a position at the beginning of the match, and said, "I have to thank the referee because in the position I mentioned, everyone on the other bench was jumping like monkeys."

In the statement made by the yellow-red club, it was alleged that the Portuguese coach made racist remarks and the following statements were made:

"Fenerbahçe Technical Director Jose Mourinho, who has been regularly making derogatory remarks against the Turkish people since he started working in Turkey, has today added inhumane statements to his immoral statements. We would like to inform you that we will file a criminal complaint with the prosecutor's office and that we will also file a complaint with UEFA and FIFA due to these racist statements against Jose Mourinho. In addition to all these initiatives, we will be following the attitude of our "moral exemplar" rival's technical directors regarding this statement."
