Hugo Almeida signs with a League 1 team

Hugo Miguel Pereira de Almeida has been appointed as the head coach of Hatayspor .

In a post made on the club's account on the X social media platform, it was announced that an agreement was reached with Hugo Miguel Pereira de Almeida.

The statement read, "Hugo Miguel Pereira de Almeida has been appointed as our team's technical director. We welcome our coach and wish him success in his new role."

Hatayspor had started today's match against Ümraniyespor with assistant coach Gökhan Alaş due to parting ways with manager Murat Şahin.

Almeida played for Beşiktaş, a Süper Lig team, in the 2010-2011, 2011-2012, 2012-2013 and 2013-2014 seasons.

Almeida played in 110 matches in these four seasons, producing 47 goals and 19 assists.
