Samsunspor requests foreign referees! Official application made to TFF

Reeder Samsunspor made an official application to the Turkish Football Federation (TFF) and requested that a foreign referee officiate its critical matches.

In a written statement made by the red-white club, it was pointed out that the critical weeks of the Super League have begun.

In the statement, where it was reminded that Samsunspor is in third place in the league, "Foreign referee Slavko Vincic, who was assigned to the Galatasaray - Fenerbahçe match played on February 24, 2025, displayed an exemplary performance with his fair and consistent management. In this regard, we congratulate our Federation by stating that we welcome the decision to assign a foreign referee to the relevant match. Our club is in third place in the Super League and continues its struggle to participate in European cups. As we approach the last weeks of the season, we demand that fair and consistent field management be provided in the matches in order to protect our rights."

In the statement, it was reported that an official application was made to the TFF to appoint a foreign referee, and the following was noted:

"In this context, we want foreign referees to officiate the Fenerbahçe- Samsunspor , Samsunspor-Galatasaray and Trabzonspor-Samsunspor matches. We believe that the use of foreign referees should continue in critical matches in order for Turkish football to be managed in a transparent, reliable and fair environment, and we would like to express that we will be following up on the issue."
