Support from star to Mourinho

Essien, who worked with Jose Mourinho during his time at Chelsea and Real Madrid, shared a photo with Mourinho on his social media account. Former Ghanaian player Michael Essien shared a photo of Mourinho and Didier Drogba on his official social media account, adding three heart emojis to the photo. Essien's post was interpreted as support for Mourinho.

As it will be remembered, after the Galatasaray match, Mourinho said, "I have to thank the referee. When Yusuf Akçiçek was in the first minute, everyone on the opposing bench was jumping around the player like monkeys." The yellow-reds interpreted these statements as racism and it was learned that they would take the issue to court.
