Balloons took off with flags in Cappadocia

In Cappadocia , a tourist destination in Nevşehir, hot air balloons flew with Turkish flags and banners to commemorate July 15th Democracy and National Unity Day. Officials prepared the hot air balloons at the launch sites in the town of Göreme, where they hung Turkish flags and banners. After the tourists were loaded into the baskets, the balloons soared into the sky and floated over valleys dotted with fairy chimneys and natural rock formations.
The balloons flew with Turkish flags and a photo of martyred Petty Officer Ömer Halisdemir, along with a banner reading "We have not forgotten, we will not let it be forgotten."

The AK Party Nevşehir Youth Branch also hung posters on some balloons that read "The epic was written with young people."
AK Party Youth Branch President Necati Yurtbilir told reporters that July 15th took its place in history as a unique struggle waged by the nation at the expense of its lives.

Yurtbilir emphasized that citizens who shielded themselves from the weapons of the treacherous terrorist elements who attempted the coup made history, saying: "As the AK Party Nevşehir Youth Branch, we have not forgotten July 15th, the symbol of glorious resistance, and we will not allow it to be forgotten. This year, with our banner that will wave in the skies of Cappadocia, we want to once again proclaim to all of Turkey the message that 'the epic was written with the youth.' Because we believe that every inch of this land, every stone, every piece of sky is filled with the heroic legacy of this nation. As youth, our responsibility is great, our consciousness is high. We are determined to protect democracy, the national will, and our goals for the Turkish Century."
