Ice sheets formed in Keban Dam Lake due to freezing cold weather
The freezing cold weather that has been affecting the region for days has caused ice to form on some parts of the Keban Dam Lake shore. Onur Ulaş Demir, who is a fisherman in the Çemişgezek district of Tunceli, recorded the ice sheets that formed on the shore of the Keban Dam Lake due to the cold weather with his mobile phone camera. The temperature in the region, where the shore surface is covered with ice in places, has dropped to 15 degrees below zero at night, and the tulip-shaped ice pieces on the lake have revealed how cold the weather is.
Onur Ulaş Demir, who has been fishing on Keban Dam Lake for 15 years and stated that this is the first time he has witnessed ice forming on the shore, said, "I have been fishing on Keban Dam Lake for over 15 years. This is the first time I have seen the shore of the lake being this cold, the weather being this harsh, and the winter being this cold. This is the first time I have seen the water of my boat freezing and ice forming on the water's edges."
