Some fishing boats ran aground when the sea water receded by about 30 meters in Karina, which is located near Söke Eskidoğanbey Village, one of the important fishing centers of Aydın. While interesting images emerged on the beach with the receding sea water, it was stated that the retreat was due to the tidal events experienced in the Karina Region.
People living in the region reported that the sea water receding event happens every year, but this year it lasted longer. (İHA)
Nihat Kaya, who stated that a similar situation occurs every year during the winter season, but this year the sea recedes more and lasts longer, said, "Those who come from outside and witness the sea water receding for the first time are worried about the situation. We have been fishing in this region since our childhood. We are used to this situation. Some worry that it is due to the earthquakes centered in our neighbor Greece, but there is no abnormal situation for us."
