When the door did not open, Pakel asked for help from the people in the building. When Zekiye Pakel did not open the door when she called out to her neighbors, the 112 Emergency Service was called. Police, health and fire teams were dispatched to the address upon the notification. While the health teams who arrived at the house tried to calm down Vehbi Pakel, who panicked because they could not reach his wife, the police and fire teams decided to enter the house through the window. When the teams reached the window with the basket ladder and entered the house, Zekiye Gönül Pakel, who could not be heard from, opened the door to the police and health teams waiting in front of the apartment. Vehbi Pakel, who saw that his wife, whose life he feared for, was healthy, said to his wife, "You ruined my life. How could you not hear all this noise?" Zekiye Pakel said that she did not know anything because she could not hear, and Vehbi Pakel thanked the officers.
