Burnage Cricket Club incident LIVE: Police cordon off site after woman's body discovered

The cricket club where a woman's body was discovered is surrounded by houses and lies close to a busy A road.
The cricket club has been permanently closed and the site hasn’t been used for the sport since 2011.
Police have not said how the woman died or whether or not her death was being treated as suspicious.
A Greater Manchester Police (GMP) spokesperson said it was too early to say whether the death was suspicious.

In a statement police said: "We are investigating after the body of a woman was found near Brookthorpe Avenue, Burnage, at around 3pm on Monday 5 May.
"Officers are working to identify the woman and a Home Office post-mortem has been authorised.
"Anyone with information should call us, quoting log 1867 of 5/5/25."
Emergency services were called to Brookthorpe Avenue, Burnage, at around 3pm yesterday, following reports of a body being found.
The area was cordoned off as officers carried out an investigation, with police since confirming that the body of a woman was discovered.
