Correction: Rachel Reeves Cash ISA tax raid could wipe out £300bn of our savings

In our online article entitled “Rachel Reeves Cash ISA tax raid could wipe out £300bn of our savings as shock looms” published on 1 March 2025, we erroneously stated in the headline that £300bn of savings could be wiped out. In fact, the proposal to divert savings from Cash ISAs to Stock and Shares ISAs related to future savings, rather than the existing pool. We apologise for the confusion and are happy to set the record straight.
