Pedestrian seriously hurt in east end crash

A pedestrian was taken to hospital Tuesday evening with serious injuries after a crash in London's east end.

Police were called to the area of Dundas and Vancouver streets at around 8:30 p.m. A car hit a man who was walking a bicycle, police said, and was critically injured.

The vehicle and the driver remained at the scene.

Nearby roads were closed for some time as police collected evidence, but have since reopened.

Investigators are asking anyone who may have information related to the incident, or surveillance footage, to contact London police.

The investigation is ongoing.
